About Kathy

Kathy is a licensed cosmetologist, expert blog writer and editor with a passion for hair, nails, skin and all things beauty. She has 20 years of behind-the-chair experience working at a full-service salon, offering cuts, color, texture treatments, waxing, nails, facials and more.

Kathy loves learning new techniques and absorbing complex cosmetology theory - all the science behind the why - and passing the knowledge on to her clients. When she retired from the salon, she needed an outlet for her pent up creativity. She began writing. To date, she has penned hundreds of beauty articles, blog posts and how-to guides and continues to bring beauty knowledge to a large audience.

Kathy has received many designations, including Master Colorist, and adept at color correction, complex color techniques, pivot-point cutting, facial and body waxing, acrylic nail application and much, much more.
