Who We Are

You Probably Need a Haircut launched in April of 2020 to give hairstylists a way to make money during the COVID-19 lockdown. It turns out we were onto something. Our site went viral and was featured in publications like Today, Engadget, The Verge, The Washington Post, and many more.

While virtual haircuts are great during a pandemic, life began returning to normal, so we had to pivot. At first, we built a hair salon database to connect readers with local salons. But that slowed down our entire site and hindered our ability to do what we do best – bring you awesome hair content quickly.

So, over the course of a year, we dedicated a sizeable amount of resources to creating extremely detailed hair trend, style, cost, and inspiration guides to help you find the perfect haircut. With that said, welcome to our site!

We hope to inspire and arm you with the knowledge you need to ensure you never get to the salon without a picture-perfect idea of the look you’re after.
